Here you can read our findings on investigations including our very own headstone rating legend! The more headstones, the more haunted we feel a place is.
Mysterious "Crop Circle" in Barry County
September 4-6, 2006
Scott Perin investigates into this mystery as to why a farmer went to bed one night with his crops standing tall and wakes up the next morning to find his fields have flattened. Have we got your interest? Click here for the whole story.

10pm-11:30pm
Investigators present: Scott Perin, Wendy Needham, Amie Fournier-Flather, Fiver and Cathe
Temp. of 64 F.degrees (on average around the area)
65% humidity
34 degree dew point
Baro. pressure just under 30Mb
Wind 10 mph or less
99% full moon visible
Findings: A LOT of orbs that were dismissed as dust, moisture, and bugs GALORE. The cemetery sits on a corner, where two dirt roads run right by it. There was quite alot of traffic on those roads that night, so that contributed to the dust problem. The cemetery sits right by 2 lakes that combine into one (Ford and Belleville Lakes, I believe), so that is naturally the reason for the moisture in the air. However, we found a few photos to be genuine. Other than that, we found nothing out of the ordinary to say this place is haunted. It has activity, as a few of the photos dictate, but nothing we would construe as "haunted".
EVP work: Everything was blank. Nothing, and we mean NOTHING was recorded. The tape was moving and yet not a sound recorded on Scott's machine. Wendy's recorder was filled with background noise and nothing more.
Photos: Some interesting photos (see page). Many more photos that just did not turn out any evidence. Also to note, a few different moments when a camera just did not record pictures in certain areas of the cemetery. Most notably near "Willie's" grave and an unmarked grave we found (marked by nothing but a small flag stuck in the ground).
Personal experiences: Each member of the team had personal experiences of hearing sounds, hearing footsteps and no one is there, seeing forms of people, nausea, headaches, something (a stick?) being thrown at part of the group, and other unexplainable feelings.
We located the infamous "witch's grave". Nothing special to be noted there.
This cemetery is active, but from an evidence standpoint, there is not much solid evidence proving the cemetery is haunted.

12:10-12:45am:
Investigators present: Scott Perin and Amie Fournier-Flather
Same conditions as in Soop Cemetery except the humidity was only 53%.
Findings: We debunked the babies crying and kids sounds immediately due to the proximity of the houses around the cemetery, seeing kid's outside toys in the yards, and hearing people talking inside the homes. We immediately debunked the myth of "mysterious flashing lights". The cause of it – the headlights of cars reflecting off the glossy surfaces of many of the headstones as the cars rounded a corner a little way down the street.
There were several pockets of cool/cold air. Not a breeze because the air was still but cold pockets that moved around in different areas but mostly stuck near the center aisle area of the cemetery. These cold packets were recorded as low as 36 F.
EVP work: Scott and Amie were walking by an old 20ft. wooden cross carved from a tree. Just as we start to walk away from it, Scott smells something musty. A few seconds
later Amie does, too. On the recording, there is a sound, something like a
"whoosh", or a fast exhale of air just before Scott smells it and again right before Amie says she smelled it.
Photos: One photo with a really great orb you can see here. The rest of the photos were filled with moisture/bug orbs and nothing paranormal.
Personal experience: Several different times Amie was chilled to the core that the temperature gauge verified on many occasions. Nothing much else to record here.
As with Soop, there is some activity, but no evidence to back the "haunted" accounts.
